"...The face, instead, is prominent in Massimiliana Sonego's works, Conversioni 1-2. Two large canvases whose composition of masses and almost monochromatic colors alludes to the need to forever preserve the appearance of one's mother. The daughter's gaze fails when her own mother dies, and in this distancing, the conviction of love is strengthened."
